Gift tags

Most of the time we only use gift tags at Christmas, however these could be adapted for any event or gift giving occassion. I'm also working on another set that will be posted later today.

Designs may vary some depending on the stamp. They measure 2 3/4x 1 3/8. Might be fun for those "special" gifts. 20 tags come in the set for $8.00.

Banners

I love finding ways to recycle things, especially all those cd's that for whatever reason seem to not want to work in the computer. My favorite way to reuse those is banners. I LOVE making banners. Made one for Audrey's birthday, I didn't use cd's on hers though, but cereal boxes. Hers can now be made into a mini book of pictures from her 4th birthday.

I recently made a banner for a friends MOPS group for Thanksgiving. She has since ordered a Halloween and a Thanksgiving banner for herself.

I love the "Thankful" banner. Had so much fun making it and trying some new things out as well.

Loved the little monsters that came on one side of the paper I used. She wanted it cute spooky. I love how it turned out, hopefully she will too.

Monday

Nothing like a little car trouble to start off the day. Will be fixed on Wednesday, just hope it isn't crazy outrageous.

Worked on getting my crafting area cleaned up this morning so I will be productive this evening.

Working on these....

Going Ons

So I last updated this in June, hard to believe it's been that long. Our summer was insanely busy to say the least. We spent all but 2 weeks of our summer at the baseball fields. I love baseball so it wasn't all that bad, but wow! We are still spending at least 3 days a week at the baseball fields.

I have some very exciting stuff getting ready to happen with Pink Owl. I have been working like crazy on cards. Hard to believe it's almost the holiday season! I'm so excited about all the different ideas, now if I could just find an extra 24 hours in each day.

I just finished designing my business cards and am in the process of printing them as I type this. That is if my printer decides it wants to work correctly. UGH! They are pretty simple but I LOVE them.

Speaking of simple, part of the delay in updating this was because I was spending my time thinking about my style and how I wanted to brand my company. It's been exciting and is still an ongoing process, but I am having a blast. I was struggling when I would sit down to create and finally decided that the reason I was struggling was because I was trying to create something that was not me. I was trying to create something that was way to cluttered and complex for my style. Once I started really exploring what I loved and what inspired me creating has been so much easier.

Just a few things I've created recently:
These are 3x3 cards. Will be in my Etsy shop by Tuesday.

Made this for a girl in Dart's class. Love finding new ways to incorporate the money into the design. Behind the money is a black ribbon so it will still be pretty to look at even after she spends the money.

Will be back tomorrow to share more. Need to take a nap as I'm volunteering at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure tonight from midnight to at least 3am. Will be checking in other volunteers that are coming to clean the race area after all the MU tailgaters are gone.

Exciting stuff going on

So for a while I debated about not even giving this a go.  Hit a rough spot and just felt uninspired and blah for a while.  However, I've been re-inspired and am ready to go.  I have a memory game sitting on my table at this moment waiting to be colored.  I have planned 4th of July pinwheels, lots of cards sketched out and waiting for me, a few mini books I want to put together and lots of other stuff.

The biggest news right now is I have one thing listed in my etsy shop.  Very excited about it, although it was made by my grandpa.  It's a jar opener that mounts under your cabinets therefore leaving both hands free to hold the jar to make it easier to open.  Works great for anyone with arthritis, even really bad cases.  My grandma has a horrible time with her hands and she is able to open pretty much any jar or even bottle out there.  I only have one Jar Opener listed, however I have lots more on hand to sell.

Also right now through the end of July I am running a "Christmas" in July special.  Buy any one item get your choice of 10 Christmas tags or 5 greeting cards free.  If you are interested in purchasing something please email me at pinkowldesigns@gmail.com.  Working to get more samples posted here and some more items in the etsy shop as well.
