Holiday Happenings

It's getting to be that time of year. I've decided(like I do every year) I'm going to be more organized this year. I did have a Holiday binder in the past, but it was so bulky I only left it at home. Well this year I made a more compact one. I found the sheets for the inside from Organized Christmas. I used the pocket planner pages. The one I'm showing you here is actually a gift for my mom. I will get mine posted later.

This is the cover of the planner. I decided to stick with a fairly simple design since it was my first.

The inside. I decided pockets would make it easier on the in and out the sheets will endure. The pages inside can vary depending on your needs. I didn't need a section for menus in mine, but my mom will.

I'm hoping to get some of these made for an upcoming craft fair. They were so simple to make.

Thank You Cards

A great gift for the hard to buy for person is always greeting cards. I really think we should all start sending more snail mail. Think about how happy you would be to find a "Thinking about you" card in with all the bills and junk!

These are the cards I made for my cousin who recently got married. Of course any of the greetings could be changed for whatever your need might be.

Don't forget the special on Christmas tags.

Busy Busy Busy

I haven't had as much time to spend being creative as I would like, but I do have a few projects in the works. I'm working on a gift for my cousin for her upcoming wedding and will also be offering the same things for sale. As her gift I am making her Thank You cards to mail out. I did this for my other cousin who got married in August and his bride loved them. Such a great idea, especially for those who may have already established a house and don't need the traditional wedding items. Also great for a new mom. I did a set for a family friend and she was very excited also. I will post pictures of the wedding thank you set soon.

Also getting started on some Christmas gifts. My family also has several birthdays beginning in November thru January so I make a lot of our gifts.

Here are some ideas for teacher gifts though. If you are interested in anything please contact me at pinkowldesigns@gmail.com

I'm a list freak, usually have 2 or 3 going at once and am always losing one as well. I have found a great way to keep track of the lists I usually make while sitting at my computer. I'm always writing down a website or product or something else and usually that is the list I lose. Because it was always on a stray piece of paper I found laying on my desk. With this I keep them close to my computer, but also no more stray pieces of paper to lose.

A tiny tin of notes that they can send home with a special kid. Also a great idea for parents to leave for kids. Who doesn't love a note letting them know they did a great job.

I'm a post-it-note junkie and what better way to keep track of them, then on a fancy coaster.

I am still running my gift tag special with purchase of Holiday cards.

Holidays are coming

I know it seems like the kids just started back to school, but I'm already thinking about the Holidays. Christmas is less than 100 days away. Have you thought about your Christmas cards yet? Do you normally just buy a box of cards in the store and sign your name to them? Why not do something different this year. I'm working on a Christmas card package. For every 20 cards purchased receive a free set of 10 gift tags. While the cards aren't finished yet, I do have samples of tags done. I did these for my kids' teachers last year and they loved them. You get to choose the scalloped set or more traditional style. Card sets start at $10.00. I am working on samples of cards so if you are interested please email me and I will send those to you. I hope to have them on the site in the next day or so as well.

Schedule magnet

Made these for my son's football team. He plays for the Cowboys, so it was pretty easy to find the design to use. The paper on the clothes pin is football textured paper. Heat embossed the silver on the star. Then added magnets to the back. The parents loved them.

Thank you cards

Are you stuck on a gift for a new mom or newlywed? Thank you cards are always a great gift. As many as you want done or as few. I recently made a set for my cousin who was getting married and also a set for a friend who had a baby. Both were extremely excited.

Here is the set I did for the friend. I made 5 of each card(design).
